Suzy Riesterer is the Chief Commercial Officer, Americas
for the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group


Suzy Riesterer is responsible for the development and implementation of our commercial strategy in the Americas, and setting the framework to ensure alignment with global commercial initiatives and Americas’ business priorities.
Riesterer is responsible for the strategy development and overall integration and alignment of Analytics, Loyalty and Online Strategy, which includes Social Media, Revenue Optimization, Sales, Distribution and Channel Management for the five brands of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group in the Americas: Radisson Blu®, Radisson®, Park Plaza®, Park Inn® by Radisson and Country Inns & Suites By Carlson.
Previously, Riesterer served as executive vice president, Finance and Administration since 2009 and is a member of the company’s Global Revenue Council. She has served as a key advisor to the president in all aspects of the business, including strategic planning, organizational design and alignment, investment decisions, global partnership matters and board communications.
Riesterer joined Carlson in 2005 as vice president, Audit and Business Risk Management where she spearheaded enterprise risk management, internal audit, business continuity, business ethics and corporate security for three years. From 2008-2009, she served as vice president of Financial Planning and Analysis where she was responsible for Carlson’s strategic and annual planning processes and management reporting.
Prior to joining Carlson, she served chief financial officer for Gelco Information Network in Minneapolis. Riesterer was responsible for finance, accounting, tax and treasury operations. She also served as CFO and executive vice president of operations for Wilson Learning Corporation.
Riesterer earned a bachelor of arts degree from Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill., and a master of business administration degree from the Carlson School of Management in Minneapolis.
